Materials:
- Premo! Sculpey in the following colors:
- ½ oz Sap Green 5322 (available online from the Clay Factory of Escondido
or Polymer Clay Express)
- ½ oz Green Pearl 5299
- Black 5042 (very small amount)
- White 5001 (very small amount)
- Cobalt Blue 5063 for eye color (very small amount)
- Cadmium Yellow 5572(very small about)
- Paint brush with rounded end of handle
- Christmas tree shaped cooker cutter
- 5/8 inch star cutter
- Craft knife, or a needle tool
- Pasta machine, optional
- Plastic wrap
- Dab of Translucent Liquid Sculpey (TLS)
Instructions:
Use a small tile to work on, the piece can also be baked on the
tile, no moving needed.

1.
Roll the two colors of green clay together through the pasta machine
until well blended. You may use any colors of green to obtain a color
that pleases you.

2.
On the final roll through the pasta machine, change the setting to
#2, 2nd widest setting. Fold the sheet in half for double thickness.

3.
Lay the plastic wrap over the stack and use the tree cookie cutter
to cut out one tree. (The plastic wrap gives the clay very nice rounded
edges. If the plastic is stuck to the cut out, careful remove it
by lifting from the edge.

4.
Using the craft knife, or the needle tool, gently score the tree
using a sweeping motion.

5.
Roll the white clay into tiny balls and shape into tear drops.
Press onto center of tree where you’d like the placement
of the eyes.

6. Using your eye color, make two smaller balls and place on the
white.
|
7.
Making two tiny black balls and place on the eye color. A dot of
white clay on the black will make the eyes sparkle.

8.
Roll the small about of yellow clay through the pasta machine, roll
down to #2, 2nd widest settings. |
9.
Cover with plastic wrap and using the star cutter, cut out one star.
As before, if the plastic sticks to the clay, gently remove by lifting
from the edge. Using the craft knife accent the points of the star.

10.
Place a dab of TLS on the top of the tree. Gently but firmly, press
the tree and star together without distorting the pieces.

Bake for 30 – 45
minutes at 275o Degrees F. Let pin cool, the glue on pin back. |
